A few things to expect once you schedule your no cost energy assessment/audit:
- A Home Energy Assessment usually takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours
- All key decisionmakers should be present at the assessment
- They will help you develop an energy savings plan and explain applicable incentives. Once all the specifics are worked out, and the home owner agrees, an insulation contractor will come in and complete the work. Your nocost Home Energy Assessment will include:
- A personalized report outlining recommended energy efficiency improvements
- Installation of nocost immediate savings measures such as light emitting diode (LED) light bulbs, programmable thermostats, and water saving devices, as needed
- Screening for eligibility for the ENERGY STAR® refrigerator rebate
- Air Sealing and Insulation specification, if applicable
- Infrared Testing, if applicable
